Job Summary: Scott Petroleum, a leader in the petroleum industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and have experience in pipe fitting. The Service Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, including but not limited to pumps, meters, and other related systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify and implement appropriate solutions promptly.
  2. Pipe Fitting:
    • Utilize pipe fitting skills to install, repair, and maintain pipelines, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
    • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute pipe fitting projects efficiently.
  3. CDL Operation:
    • Operate company vehicles, including trucks and specialized service vehicles, to transport equipment to various job sites.
    • Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations.
  4. Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
  5. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
    • Complete required paperwork, including work orders and service reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
    • Provide support and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in pipe fitting, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
