Job Summary: Scott Petroleum, a leader in the petroleum industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipe fitting. The Assistant Service Technician will play a role in maintaining and servicing our equipment under the supervision of a certified Service Technician, ensuring the highest safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, including but not limited to pumps, meters, and other related systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify and implement appropriate solutions promptly.
- Pipe Fitting:
- Utilize pipe fitting skills to install, repair, and maintain pipelines, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute pipe fitting projects efficiently.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
- Complete required paperwork, including work orders and service reports, promptly and accurately.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide support and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in pipe fitting, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
